Faraaz and Derek

Faraaz Abdool and Derek Keats are responsible for most of what goes on behind the scenes on Learn-the-Birds. Faraaz is an internationally published freelance conservation and wildlife photographer/writer who specializes in birds and the issues they face worldwide. He is also the author of a book, well illustrated with his photographs, entitled “Casual Birding in Trinidad & Tobago”. Derek is a biologist and technologist who loves nature and building technology in equal measure. He is an accomplished nature photographer on land and under water, with his photos appearing in over 20 books, hundreds of magazines, hundreds of online sites and blogs, as well as several mobile apps. Together they make Learn-the-Birds happen on a daily basis.
